Doncaster South City Learning Centre is offering a series of training to help you develop your skills. Its concept of an E-Learning Express is to assist you in getting the skills you require at a pace and level appropriate to YOU, whilst addressing the personalised learning agenda and promoting the use of Virtual Learning Environments.

Training on offer includes:

  • General computer skills- files/ folders/ e-mail/ Outlook, etc.
  • General Software
  • Interactive Whiteboard
  • Podcasts & Blogs
  • Using Video/ Sound/ Animation
  • Learning Platforms
  • 3D Technologies
  • Basic Web Design
  • Visualisers

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) consists of reflective activity designed to improve an individual’s attributes, knowledge, understanding and skills. It supports individual needs and improves professional practice.

Digital Roadshows

We are offering Primary teachers and support staff the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in the latest multimedia tools. The purpose is to improve engagement, literacy, and numeracy, helping you to deliver lessons in new and innovative ways.

These informal, flexible, group-based workshops can be delivered at the CLC or at your school. We always use state-of-the-art equipment, providing a hands-on opportunity to practice and learn first hand all the latest applications and techniques.

Workshops available include:

  • Podcasting
  • Blogging
  • Portable 3D
  • Video
  • Digi Blue Advanced
  • Visualisers

TeachMeet (TMYH2010)

If you regularly read our news items, you will be well aware of our involvement in TeachMeet for Yorkshire and Humber on Friday 28 March – it was a great success and was streamed live from the TV Studio to the world.

MathsMeet
